Mighty Crabs SMRA Team Fundraiser

As last year’s Solomons Dragon Boat Festival CHAMPIONS, we are looking forward to another mighty win from the Mighty Crabs! Come cheer us on at the festival, and please consider donating to our team’s entry fee. All funds from our team fundraiser go toward improving the lives of those in our community with disabilities and developmental differences. SMCR creates events and opportunities for the whole community with an emphasis on accessibility for those with disabilities. Please help us improve lives by donating below!

The Southern Maryland Rowing Association (SMRA), commonly known as the “Mighty Crabs”, can’t get enough of the water. We routinely get up at 5:00am to row with the dolphins, the jelly fish and anything that will inspire us to go faster and represent our beautiful county in rowing races along the east coast. SMRA is a growing community-based rowing organization in St. Mary’s City. Our members’ engagement run from recreational through competitive activity. New members are always welcome with any degree of experience, as long as they are passionate about learning to row. The club has access to boats of all types ranging from single sculls to eight-oar shells. Rowing activity is centered in St. Mary’s City with most workouts scheduled for mornings and evenings through the summer. For more information, please email us at somdrowing@gmail.com
