Paddle with Our Team of Misfits!

What does it mean to be a misfit? We've heard from many folks that they'd like to paddle, but can't get enough people together to form a team. If you'd like to paddle and help raise funds for our cause, this is the team for you! You can bring a friend, your family, or your coworkers and join the team of misfits - or just come as yourself!

Fundraising

To join the team, you commit to raising $100. Whether you pay that yourself or get family and friends to help toward the cost is up to you. We have an easy fundraising page for the team, and we'll add your name to the drop-down list so that others can donate on your behalf.

Time Commitment

You'll have one practice the week before the event, during which you'll meet your teammates and learn how to work together as a team on the water. On race day, you'll need to be available from approximately 8a-3p. See below for a sample race schedule.

Team Captain

If you're interested in being a team manager, please let us know! Managers will coordinate with our festival staff, collect team waivers, coordinate what to wear, send emails to team members, and ensure that the team is meeting its fundraising goal of $2,000. Email info@somdcr.org to indicate your interest.
