A Note from the Crew

Thanks for considering us!

We want to let you know that we are going full steam ahead on the 2021 festival! We’ve just had a kickoff meeting with our boat provider 22Dragons, and they are excited to make this partnership happen once again next year.

As you may know, our “Dragon Lady in Chief”, Bonnie Elward, has retired from her role as Executive Director of our sponsor organization, SMCR. She has graciously agreed to continue in an advisory capacity as we move into the next phase of our journey. Additionally, we, like many others, decided to take a year off during the pandemic in consideration of safety and health for our teams and local businesses.

All that said, we believe 2021 will be the best festival yet! Our next Festival chair is full of energy and ready to take on the challenge of pulling this event together.

We encourage you to register your team for the 2021 races. We have 30 spots available, and from the response we’ve gotten so far, we expect to fill them all. Remember, as soon as we have a commitment from your team, we’ll begin advertising your business on our site and across our social media accounts, and we’ll create a team page for you to share with your supporters.

      How we market your business

We understand how important it is for our sponsors to have their name in lights, so we take every opportunity to place sponsor logos on everything from roadside signs to event maps to the newspaper centerfold to social media posts.
